NOTICE OF REVOCATION (By Consent)
Case No. 99-056-GA Kevin A. Bank, P-46973, Clarkston, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #62.
1) Revocation; 2) Effective June 24, 1999.1 Between December 1994 and March 1998, the respondent was employed as an associate of a law firm. Between 1997 and March 1998, the respondent had signature authority over the firm's client trust and business banking accounts. Respondent pled no contest to allegations that he embezzled law office funds and misappropriated client funds by cashing business or client checks and converting more than $9,000 in proceeds to his personal use. Respondent pled no contest to charges that his conduct violated MCR 9.104(2)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15(a)-(c); and 8.4(a) and (b).
The parties stipulated that the respondent's license to practice law be revoked. Costs were assessed in the amount of $63.35.
________________________ 1 Respondent was also suspended from the practice of law for failure to pay his annual dues to the State Bar of Michigan, effective February 9, 1999. That suspension remains in effect.
