NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)
Case Nos. 98-137-GA; 98-186-GA; 99-047-GA James R. Shaw, P-49003, Dearborn Heights, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #15.
1) Suspension - 120 Days; 2) Effective June 15, 1999. Respondent was appointed as appellate counsel for 15 separate criminal defendants. Respondent entered a plea of no contest to allegations that he neglected all 15 matters, in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; 3.4(c); and 8.4(a) and (c).
The parties stipulated that respondent be suspended from the practice of law in Michigan for a period of 120 days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $95.87.
