NOTICE OF AUTOMATIC INTERIM SUSPENSION Case No. 99-073-JC
Jeffrey E. Schaefer, P-31641, Southfield, Michigan. Effective April 15, 1999. On April 15, 1999, respondent was convicted of the following felonies, by guilty plea, in Oakland County Circuit Court: Three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Under 25 Grams, in violation of MCL 333.74032; one count of Resisting Arrest, in violation of MCR 750.479; and four counts of Credit Card Fraud, in violation of MCL 750.157. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent was automatically suspended from the practice of law in Michigan effective April 15, 1999, the date of the felony convictions.
On May 27, 1999, the Grievance Administrator filed a certified copy of the Judgment of Conviction. The Attorney Discipline Board will now entered an order directing respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.
