NOTICE OF REVOCATION Case No. 99-97-RD Notice Issued: May 21, 2003 John J. Devers, Jr., P-12716, Gladstone, Oregon, by Attorney Discipline Board, vacating its order reducing discipline to a 3 year suspension and reinstating Tri-County Hearing Panel #29's order of revocation.

1. Revocation; 2. Effective March 23, 1999. Based upon an order of disbarment entered January 22, 1999 by the Oregon Supreme Court, the Grievance Administrator filed a petition for order to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered in accordance with MCR 9.104(B). The Attorney Discipline Board assigned this matter to a hearing panel and on June 6, 2001, the hearing panel ordered that respondent=s license to practice law in Michigan be revoked.

The respondent filed a petition for review and on March 27, 2002, the Attorney Discipline Board issued an order vacating the hearing panel=s order and reducing respondent=s discipline to a three year suspension. The Grievance Administrator filed a motion for reconsideration and on September 30, 2002, the Attorney Discipline Board vacated its order and reinstated the hearing panel=s order of revocation, specifically reinstating March 23, 1999 as the effective date of respondent=s revocation, the same date respondent=s license was revoked in Oregon. The Grievance Administrator filed a second motion for reconsideration regarding the effective date of discipline which was denied by the Attorney Discipline Board. The Grievance Administrator=s application for leave to appeal to the Michigan Supreme Court was denied on April 29, 2003. Total costs were assessed in the amount of $575.21.
