NOTICE OF SUSPENSION WITH CONDITIONS (By Consent)
Case No. 98-103-GA Lafayette M. Beers, P-40650, Grand Rapids, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Kent County Hearing Panel #1.
1) Suspension - 90 Days; 2) Effective May 1, 1999. In a stipulation for consent order of discipline, respondent pled no contest to the charge in a Formal Complaint that his touching of a female employee of a dry cleaning establishment without her permission constituted a violation of MCR 9.104(5). The stipulation was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and was accepted by a hearing panel in accordance with MCR 9.115(F)(5).
The parties stipulated that respondent be suspended from the practice of law in Michigan for a period of 90 days, subject to conditions relevant to the established misconduct.
Costs were assessed in the amount of $97.17.
