1) Revocation; 2) Effective January 29, 1999. On January 29, 1999, respondent was convicted in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, by guilty plea, of Wire Fraud, in violation of 18 USC 1343. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent was automatically suspended from the practice of law in Michigan effective January 29, 1999, the date of the felony conviction.
On April 2, 1999, the Grievance Administrator filed a certified copy of the Judgment of Conviction. On April 6, 1999, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.
On June 29, 1999, the panel entered its report and Order of Revocation. Costs were assessed in the amount of $362.80.
