NOTICE OF REPRIMAND WITH CONDITIONS Case No. 97-58-GA Frenonia Walls, P-45757, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #10.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective December 1, 1998. Respondent admitted that she failed to answer a Request for Investigation, as alleged in Count Three of the Formal Complaint. The panel dismissed Counts One and Two. The panel concluded that respondent's conduct violated MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.1(b); and 8.4(a) and (c).
The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded, subject to obtaining a mentor to review her law office practices and management, and providing the panel with an evaluation from the mentor within six months. The panel further ordered that should respondent fail to timely comply with this condition, the mentor evaluates respondent's practices as unacceptable or problematic, or the panel is not satisfied with the respondent's progress, she shall be suspended from the practice of law for 30 days.
Costs were assessed in the amount of $699.98.
