Petitioner was suspended from the practice of law in Michigan for a period of 180 days effective February 1, 1998. His petition for reinstatement filed in accordance with MCR 9.123(B) and MCR 9.124 was granted by Tri-County Hearing Panel #31. The panel concluded that petitioner had satisfactorily established his eligibility for reinstatement in accordance with the guidelines of those court rules. On October 8, 1998, the panel issued an Interim Order Granting Petition for Reinstatement. Petitioner complied with that order on October 8, 1998, and his reinstatement to the practice of law is deemed to be effective on that date. The panel's report and Final Order Granting Petition for Reinstatement were issued on December 10, 1998. Costs were assessed in the amount of $388.32.
