NOTICE OF REVOCATION AND RESTITUTION Case Nos. 98-75-GA; 98-93-FA; 98-105-GA; 98-119-FA Lawrence R. Greene, P-14336, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #25.

1) Revocation; 2) Effective November 3, 1998.1. The panel found that the allegations of professional misconduct were established by default as follows: Seven counts of client neglect and/or abandonment; seven counts of failure to answer a Request for Investigation; six counts of failure to refund unearned fees and/or release client files; three counts of knowingly making false statements to a client or a client's representative; two counts of failure to notify clients of prior suspensions; one count of failure to answer a Formal Complaint; one count of knowingly filing a false affidavit with the Michigan Supreme Court; and one count of charging and collecting an excessive fee. Respondent also failed to appear at the disciplinary hearing.

The panel concluded that respondent's conduct violated MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4), (7) and (9); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); MCR 9.119(A)-(C) and (E); MCR 9.123(A); Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a) and (b); 1.5(a) and (b); 1.15(b); 1.16(d); 3.2; 3.3(a)(1) and (4); 3.4(b) and (c); 4.1; 5.5(a); 8.1(a) and (b); and 8.4(a)-(c); and MCL 600.916; MSA 27A.916.

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be revoked for the second time, and that he make restitution to the complainants in the total amount of $46,820. Costs were assessed in the amount of $297. 1. Respondent has been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since July 29, 1997. His license to practice law in Michigan was also revoked effective June 4, 1998.
