1) Reprimand; 2) Effective June 20, 1998.1. On January 12, 1998, the Supreme Court of Colorado entered an Order of Public Censure:
The parties in this lawyer discipline case submitted a stipulation, agreement, and conditional admission of misconduct . . .
The respondent has admitted that . . . he violated Colo. RPC 3.4(c) (knowingly disobeying an obligation under the rules of a tribunal), and Colo. RPC 8.4(d) (engaging in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice) . . .
The respondent violated Colo. RPC 1.5(a) (charging an unreasonable fee) . . . Finally, the respondent violated Colo. RPC 1.15(a) (failing to properly segregate and safeguard client funds) . . .
Order of Public Censure, No. 97SA407, pp. 2, 6. On March 13, 1998, the Grievance Administrator filed a Petition for Order to Show Cause seeking an order of reciprocal discipline. The panel found that a "public censure" in Colorado was equivalent to a "reprimand" in Michigan, and entered an Order of Reciprocal Reprimand. Costs were assessed in the amount of $91.51. 1. Respondent has been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan for failure to pay his annual dues to the State Bar since February 1995.
