NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 98-10-MZ Robert E. Anderson, P-45065, Albion, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #6.

1) Suspension - 180 Days; 2) Effective June 2, 1998. On July 21, 1997, the panel entered an Order of Suspension (120 days) With Conditions in Case No. 97-69-GA. The suspension went into effect on August 12, 1997.1. The conditions in that order required respondent to complete a continuing legal education course in criminal law prior to the expiration of the suspension. The order further directed respondent to notify all of his active clients, tribunals and parties of his suspension, and file an affidavit of compliance that he had done so; and to pay costs in the amount of $308.46 within 60 days of the effective date of the order.

On January 27, 1998, the Grievance Administrator filed a Petition for Order to Show Cause alleging that respondent failed to comply with that order. Respondent did not file an answer to that petition. On March 3, 1998, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an Order to Show Cause. Respondent failed to appear at the show cause hearing conducted before the panel on April 6, 1998. The panel found that respondent had failed to comply with the Order of Suspension With Conditions entered in Case No. 97- 69-GA. The panel ordered that respondent be suspended for 180 days commencing June 2, 1998, and complete the conditions set forth in the order in Case No. 97-69-GA prior to filing a petition for reinstatement.

Costs were assessed in the amount of $154.62. 1. Respondent has been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since August 12, 1997.
