NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 97-194-GA Eric R. Bryen, P-35404, Farmington Hills, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #30.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective April 29, 1998. Respondent was the Chief Financial Officer of Great Lakes Equities, Co. (GLE), a licensed broker-dealer of securities. Respondent entered a plea of no contest to allegations that he engaged in a scheme to defraud GLE's customers in connection with the offer to sell, purchase, and sales of certain common stock, in violation of MCR 9.104(2)-(4); Canon One of the then- applicable Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.4(a)-(c).
The parties stipulated that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $123.18.
