NOTICE OF SUSPENSION AND RESTITUTION (By Consent)
Case No. 98-3-GA Carl M. Woodard, P-37502, Mason, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #2.
1) Suspension - Sixty (60) Days; 2) Effective February 18, 1998. Respondent was retained to represent five separate complainants, four in divorce matters and one in an adoption matter. He pled no contest to allegations that he neglected the matters and failed to refund unearned fees totalling $1,280, in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a); 1.5; 1.15(b); 1.16(d); 3.2; and 8.4(a) and (c).
The parties stipulated that respondent be suspended from the practice of law for sixty (60) days and make restitution to the complainants in the total amount of $1,280. Costs were assessed in the amount of $115.98.
