NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 97-193-GA G. Reynolds Sims, P-23255, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #30.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective February 7, 1998. Respondent was the president and sole shareholder of Great Lakes Equities, Co. (GLE), a licensed broker-dealer of securities. Respondent entered a plea of no contest to allegations that GLE engaged in a scheme to defraud its customers in connection with the offers to sell, purchases, and sales of common stock of three separate corporations, in violation of MCR 9.104(2)-(4); Canon 1 of the then-applicable Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1-102(A)(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.4(a) and (c).
The parties stipulated that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $66.13.
