NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 97-177-MZ Jesse R. Odom, P-18415, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #8.

1) Suspension - 180 Days; 2) Effective October 8, 1997. On March 19, 1997, Tri-County Hearing Panel #8 entered an Order of Reprimand With Conditions in Case No. 96-88-GA. The order directed that if respondent failed to comply with the conditions in the order, he be ordered to show cause why he should not be suspended from the practice of law for 180 days. On July 21, 1997, the Grievance Administrator filed a Petition for Order to Show cause alleging that respondent had failed comply with conditions regarding cost payment and the monitoring of his law practice.

The panel found that respondent failed to comply with its Order of Reprimand With Conditions, and concluded that respondent should be suspended from the practice of law for 180 days commencing October 8, 1997, the date of the show cause hearing. Costs were assessed in the amount of $236.00.

Respondent filed a petition for review, but did not file a petition for stay of discipline. On February 12, 1998, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order dismissing respondent's petition for review for his failure to file the required brief in support of his petition.
