1) Reprimand; 2) Effective September 3, 1997. Respondent was retained on a contingent fee basis to represent a client in claims for injuries he sustained in an automobile accident, and filed a Complaint and Jury Demand in Wayne County Circuit Court.
Respondent pled no contest to allegations that he neglected the matter, in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c), 1.3, 1.4(a), 3.2, and 8.4(a) and (c).
The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $103.08.
