NOTICE OF REVOCATION Case Nos. 97-103-GA; 97-127-FA Wanda P. Taylor, P-38662, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #25.

1) Revocation; 2) Effective August 21, 1997. From November 1990 through October 1995, respondent was appointed to seek post-conviction relief on behalf of indigent criminal defendants as a result of her participation on the Michigan Assigned Appellate Counsel System (MAACS) roster. In October 1995, respondent was removed from the MAACS roster. From July 1993 through July 1994, respondent was appointed to seek post-conviction relief on behalf of fourteen separate criminal defendants. The panel found, by default, that respondent neglected all fourteen matters; failed to answer the Request for Investigation; and failed to answer the Formal Complaints. Respondent also failed to appear at the disciplinary hearing.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(b) and (c); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; 3.4(c); 8.1(b); and 8.4(a) and (c).

In determining the appropriate discipline, the panel considered the nature of the misconduct, the documentary evidence, respondent's failure to answer or appear at any stage of the disciplinary proceeding, her record of prior discipline,1. and the recommendation of counsel. The panel took judicial notice that respondent was suspended from the practice of law for failure to pay her annual dues to the State Bar of Michigan effective January 28, 1997, and has not been reinstated from that suspension. Costs were assessed in the amount of $154.21. 1. Case Nos. 91-139-GA; 91-163-FA--Probation Two Years (By Consent)--Effective April 3, 1992.
