NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 96-132-GA Milton H. Greenman, P-34621, Southfield, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #79.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective August 1, 1997. The complainant and his wife retained respondent to institute a medical malpractice action on the wife's behalf. The wife died two months later. Two years later, respondent filed a medical malpractice/wrongful death claim in Wayne County Circuit Court.
The panel found that respondent failed to keep the complainant adequately advised of the status of the matter, in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.4(a) and (b).
The parties thereafter stipulated that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1295.87.
