NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case Nos. 96-19-GA; 96-38-FA Ronald A. Muresan, P-33382, West Bloomfield, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming Tri-County Hearing Panel #52's Order of Suspension.

1) Suspension - Seven (7) Months; 2) Effective April 23, 1997. Respondent represented the plaintiff in a medical malpractice action, and filed a complaint in Ingham County Circuit Court. The panel found, by default, that respondent neglected the matter; made statements in an affidavit filed with the court which were false and were known by him to be false at the time they were made; made statements in answers to interrogatories which were false and were known by him to be false at the time they were made; made statements in a telephone conference which were false and were known by him to be false at the time they were made; filed a lawsuit which was not supported by fact or law and was frivolous; failed to answer the Request for Investigation; and failed to timely answer the Formal Complaint.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and (7); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a)-(b); 3.1; 3.2; 3.3(a)(1)-(4); 3.4(a)-(d); 3.5(c); 4.1; 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The panel ordered that respondent be suspended from the practice of law for seven months. Costs were assessed in the amount of $1234.14.

The Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review seeking increased discipline. On July 29, 1997, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an Order Affirming Hearing Panel Order of Suspension.
