1) Reprimand; 2) Effective March 4, 1997. Respondent was appointed to seek post-conviction relief on behalf of the complainant, who was convicted of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property Greater Than $100 and Violation of Probation in two separate matters. Respondent pled no contest to allegations that she neglected the matters, in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4(a); 3.2; 8.4(a)and(c); and Canons 1, 6 and 7 of the former Code of Professional Responsibility DR 1-102(A)(1),(5)and(6); DR 6-101(A)(3); and DR 7-101(A)(3).
The panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded with conditions including community service, implementation of a triple-entry calendar system, and a monitor for her law practice. Costs were assessed in the amount of $151.98.
