NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case Nos. 96-133-GA; 96-151-FA Lester D. Hudson, P-24745, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #20.

1) Suspension - Three (3) Years; 2) Effective January 25, 1997. On November 29, 1994, respondent was placed on inactive status for an indefinite period and until further order of the Attorney Discipline Board. The panel found, by default, that in August 1995, respondent contacted an attorney three times and advised her each time that he was representing the seller in a real estate transaction in which her client was the prospective buyer. Respondent also failed to answer the Request for Investigation and the Formal Complaints. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4), (7) and (9); MCR 9.113(A) and (B)(2); MCR 9.119(D)-(F); MCL 600.916, MSA 27A.916; and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 3.4(c); 5.5(a); 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)-(c). The panel ordered that respondent be suspended from the practice of law for three years commencing January 25, 1997. Costs were assessed in the amount of $364.35.

Respondent filed a petition for review, but did not file a petition for stay of discipline. The suspension is deemed to be effective January 25, 1997. In an order entered March 17, 1997, the Attorney Discipline Board dismissed the petition for review for respondent's failure to file the required review brief.

NOTE: Respondent has also been continuously suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since January 14, 1993.
