NOTICE OF REVOCATION (By Consent)

Case Nos. 97-46-AI; 97-227-JC Rosalind K. Reed, P-26151, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #12.

1) Revocation; 2) Effective December 17, 1996. On December 17, 1996, respondent was convicted in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, by jury verdict, of one count of Money Laundering Conspiracy in violation of 18 USC 1956(a)(1)(A) and 1956(g). In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent was automatically suspended from the practice of law in Michigan effective December 17, 1996, the date of the felony conviction.

Upon the filing of a certified copy of the Judgment of Conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. The parties thereafter stipulated that respondent's license to practice law be revoked effective December 17, 1996, the effective date of the automatic interim suspension. Costs were assessed in the amount of $447.00.
