1) Suspension - Ninety (90) Days; 2) Effective January 14, 1997. The panel found, by a preponderance of the evidence, that respondent operated his motor vehicle at a time when his driver's license was suspended and made a false statement regarding his identity to the arresting police officer; and made a false statement in his answer to the Request for Investigation.
In the counts sustained by the hearing panel, respondent's conduct was charged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(6); MCR 9.113(A); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.1(a) and 8.4(a)-(c). The panel specifically found that respondent violated MRPC 8.4(b).
Costs were assessed in the amount of $1,026.16.
