NOTICE OF SUSPENSION WITH CONDITIONS (By Consent)

Case No. 96-122-GA Glenn A. Stadts, P-35120, Rochester, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #63.

1) Suspension - 180 days; 2) Effective November 20, 1996. Respondent was retained to institute medical malpractice and wrongful death actions, and to open a probate estate so the actions could be pursued. Respondent admitted that he neglected the matters and knowingly made a false statement in his answer to the Request for Investigation, in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4),(6)and(7); MCR 9.113(A); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(b)and(c); 1.3; 1.4(a); 1.15(b); 3.2; 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The parties stipulated that respondent be suspended from the practice of law in Michigan for a period of 180 days, with conditions relevant to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $137.68.
