Case No. 96-101-GA Denise M. Burke, P-44957, Alpena, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Cheboygan County Hearing Panel #1.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective December 31, 1996. Respondent pled no contest to allegations that she engaged in an improper ex parte communication with a court concerning a pending matter, in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 3.5(a) and (b); and 8.4(a) and (c).
The parties stipulated that respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $148.48.
