NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 95-94-GA Thomas R. Neff, P-18212, Milford, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #51.

1) Suspension - sixty (60) days; 2) Effective April 30, 1996. Respondent was consulted by a woman concerning a real estate transaction. The panel found that respondent, by certain inappropriate statements and actions directed toward his client, failed to treat her with courtesy and respect, and treated her with discourtesy because of her gender. Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 6.5(a) and 8.4(a)and(c).

Respondent was consulted by another woman concerning a divorce. The panel found that respondent, by certain inappropriate statements and actions directed toward his client, violated MCR 9.104(1)-(4) and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 8.4(a)and(c).

The panel ordered that respondent be suspended from the practice of law for sixty days. Costs were assessed in the amount of $999.58.
