1) Revocation; 2) Effective November 17, 1995. On November 17, 1995, respondent was convicted in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, by guilty plea, of conspiracy to distribute and import anabolic steroids, in violation of 18 USC 371. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent was automatically suspended from the practice of law in Michigan effective November 17, 1995, the date of the felony conviction. The Grievance Administrator thereafter filed a Judgment of Conviction with the Attorney Discipline Board, and the Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered.
Following a hearing conducted pursuant to the Board's order to show cause, the panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be revoked effective November 17, 1995, the effective date of the automatic interim suspension. Costs were assessed in the amount of $372.98.
