NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case Nos. 95-98-GA; 95-126-FA Michael B. Batchelor, P-38765, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #27.

1) Suspension - ninety (90) days; 2) Effective November 30, 1995. Respondent was retained to represent the defendant in a personal injury matter. The panel found, by default, that respondent neglected the matter; knowingly made false representations to his client; knowingly made false statements in his answer to the Request for Investigation; and failed to answer the Formal Complaint. Respondent also failed to appear at the disciplinary hearing.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4),(6)and(7); MCR 9.113(A)and(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; 8.1(a)and(b); and 8.4(a)-(c).

The panel ordered that respondent be suspended from the practice of law in Michigan for ninety days effective November 30, 1995, to run concurrently with the Order of Revocation (By Consent) entered in Case No.95-17-GA. Costs were assessed in the amount of $77.50.
