NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 95-108-GA Douglas K. Wenzel, P-22191, Alpena, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Midland County Hearing Panel #1.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective November 7, 1995. Respondent was retained to defend a couple in a quiet title action. He pled nolo contendere to allegations that he failed to seek to have a default judgment set aside despite being given a specific date by the court to file a motion seeking such relief.
Respondent's conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)- (c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; and 8.4(a)and(c).
Costs were assessed in the amount of $162.56.
