NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 95-62-GA Jeanne A. Kennedy, P-44060, Hillsdale, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Ingham County Hearing Panel #4.
1) Suspension - 250 days; 2) Effective September 9, 1995. Respondent was retained to appeal a matter before the Veteran's Administration Board. The panel found, by default, that respondent neglected the matter; transferred the matter to another attorney without her client's knowledge or consent; failed to adequately communicate with her client; abandoned the representation; and failed to answer the Request for Investigation. Respondent also failed to appear at the disciplinary hearing.
Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.104(1)-(4)and(7); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.3 ;1.4; 1.16(d); 3.2; 8.1(b); and 8.4(a)and(c).
Costs were assessed in the amount of $152.40. NOTE: Respondent has been suspended from the practice of law in Michigan continuously since June 27, 1995.
