NOTICE OF REPRIMAND WITH CONDITIONS (By Consent)
Case No. 95-166-GA James R. Shaw, P-49003, Detroit, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #33.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective September 20, 1995. Respondent was retained to file bankruptcy petitions on behalf of nine individuals. He pled no contest to allegations that he neglected the bankruptcy matters, in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)-(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 3.2; 3.4(c); and 8.4(a)and(c).
The parties stipulated that respondent be reprimanded, subject to conditions including the monitoring of his law practice for one year and continuing legal education in bankruptcy law. Costs were assessed in the amount of $56.42.
