NOTICE OF REPRIMAND WITH CONDITIONS (By Consent)
Case No. 95-38-GA Sean Paul O'Bryan, P-45881, Lapeer, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Saginaw County Hearing Panel.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective September 19, 1995. Respondent was retained in connection with two separate child custody/support matters. He pled no contest to allegations that he neglected the matters, and failed to keep in reasonable communication with his clients or to respond to their inquiries.
Respondent's conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(a)- (c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; and 8.4(a)and(c).
The parties stipulated that respondent be reprimanded, subject to certain conditions including continuing legal education in law office management, obtaining a monitor for his law practice, and restitution to the two complainants in the total amount of $1,720. Costs were assessed in the amount of $67.87.
