NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case Nos. 95-64-GA; 95-104-FA Arnold F. Farwell, P-36829, Troy, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #70.
1) Suspension - three (3) years and one (1) day; 2) Effective July 18, 1995. Respondent was retained to represent clients in a wrongful discharge action. The panel found, by default, that respondent failed to institute a wrongful discharge action on his clients' behalf; failed to respondent to his clients' inquiries or keep them reasonably informed; and falsely informed his clients that a lawsuit had been filed on their behalf. Respondent also failed to answer the Formal Complaint and failed to appear at the disciplinary hearing.
Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; and 8.4(a)-(c).
Costs were assessed in the amount of $212.39.
