NOTICE OF REPRIMAND AND RESTITUTION Case No. 94-53-GA Arnold D. Dunchock, P-13013, Corunna, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board reducing Ingham County Hearing Panel #7's Order of Suspension (sixty days) and Restitution.

1) Reprimand; 2) Effective July 28, 1995. Respondent's law firm was retained regarding a boundary dispute. The panel found that respondent failed to advance the cause of action and neglected to complete the matter; failed to respond to his clients' inquiries; failed to keep his clients reasonably informed; and failed to timely answer the Request for Investigation.

Respondent was retained regarding a widow's interests in her late husband's pension benefits. The panel found that respondent failed to advise his client of the dismissal of her case; and failed to timely answer the Request for Investigation.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; and 8.1(b). The panel ordered respondent's suspension from the practice of law for sixty days and restitution in the amount of $425.

Respondent filed a petition for review. On April 3, 1995, the Attorney Discipline Board affirmed the panel's findings and conclusions regarding misconduct and restitution, and reduced discipline to a reprimand. Respondent filed a motion for reconsideration, which was denied by the Board on May 18, 1995.

Respondent filed an application for leave to appeal, which was denied by the Michigan Supreme Court on July 28, 1995. Respondent filed a motion for reconsideration, which was denied by the Court on October 31, 1995.

Costs were assessed in the amount of $1043.88.
