NOTICE OF TRANSFER TO INACTIVE STATUS Case Nos. ADB 178-89; 90-107-GA; 90-121-FA; 93-156-GA; 93-184-GA

Lester D. Hudson, P-24745, Detroit, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board adopting the recommendation of the Master.

1) Transfer to Inactive Status; 2) Effective November 29, 1994. On January 14, 1993, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order in a matter then pending before the Board for review of a hearing panel order suspending the respondent's license to practice law for 120 days. In its order of January 14, 1993, the Board 1) vacated the automatic stay of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(K), effective January 14, 1993; 2) granted the respondent's request for an extension of time to submit medical records; 3) directed the Grievance Administrator to amend the complaint by adding a count alleging incapacity in accordance with MCR 9.121(B); 4) appointed counsel on respondent's behalf as authorized by MCR 9.121; and, 5) referred the matter to a master for hearings.

On November 29, 1994, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order adopting the recommendations in the master's written report and ordering that the respondent be transferred to inactive status pursuant to MCR 9.121(B), effective immediately. In accordance with that order, all pending disciplinary proceedings against the respondent shall be held in abeyance. The respondent may not resume active status until reinstated by an order of the Attorney Discipline Board following the reinstatement process described in MCR 9.121(E).

NOTE: Respondent has been suspended from the practice of law in Michigan since January 14, 1993. His transfer to inactive status was effective November 29, 1994.
