NOTICE OF REPRIMAND AND RESTITUTION (By Consent) Case No. 93-32-GA

1) Reprimand; 2) November 1, 1994. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by a hearing panel in accordance with the provisions of MCR 9.115(F)(5). The respondent admitted the allegations in a formal complaint that he failed, upon demand, to provide a complete accounting of funds entrusted to him by a client; neglected a legal matter entrusted to him by a client and failed to keep the client reasonably informed concerning the status of that legal matter. Respondent's conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4) and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c), 1.3, 1.4, 1.15, 3.2 and 8.4(a-c).
In accordance with the stipulation filed by the parties, the hearing panel ordered that the respondent be reprimanded, that he make restitution to his client in the amount of $4000 and that he pay costs of $283.96.
