NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent) Case No. 94-48-GA

1) Reprimand; 2) Effective November 17, 1994. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission.
Respondent was retained to prosecute a workers' disability case. Respondent admitted that the case was dismissed for his failure to appear at the scheduled hearing; and that he failed to file an appeal from the dismissal, allowing a portion of his client's cause of action to become time-barred under the one year back rule.
Respondent's conduct was admitted to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1(c); 1.3; 3.2; and 8.4(a)-(c),
Costs were assessed in the amount of $67.29.
