AMENDED NOTICE OF SUSPENSION

Case Nos. 19-34-AI; 19-75-JC

Notice Issued: January 14, 2020

Richard James Indermuehle, P 78458, Sewickley, Pennsylvania, by the Attorney Discipline Board Kent County Hearing Panel #3.

Suspension - 365 Days, Effective April 15, 2019

Respondent was convicted, by a plea of nolo contendere, to attempted using a computer to commit a crime, in violation of MCl 752.7973C(A), in a matter titled People of the State of Michigan v Richard James Indermuehle, 17th Circuit Court Case No. 19-00529-FH.

Based on respondent's conviction, the panel found that he engaged in conduct that violated a criminal law of a state or of the United States, in violation of MCR 9.104(5). An issue was raised as to whether respondent pled no contest to a felony or a misdemeanor, and the panel was unable to reach a conclusion as to this issue because of the sparse and conflicting evidence.

The panel ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be suspended for a period of 365 days, retroactive to the date of his interim suspension. Costs were assessed in the amount of $2,009.70.
