NOTICE OF REPRIMAND WITH CONDITIONS (By Consent)
Case No. 21-88-JC Notice Issued: February 28, 2022 Eric J. Wells, P 54292, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #60
Reprimand, Effective February 26, 2022 Respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a Revised Stipulation for Consent Order of Discipline which was approved by the Attorney Grievance Commission and accepted by the hearing panel. The revised stipulation contained respondent’s admission that he pleaded guilty on January 29, 2019, to Operating While Intoxicated, second offense, a misdemeanor, in violation of 257.62561-A, People v Eric J. Wells, Sixth Circuit Court Case No. 2020-275745-FH.
Based on respondent’s plea, admission and the parties’ stipulation, the panel found that respondent committed professional misconduct when he engaged in conduct that violated a criminal law of a state or of the United States, an ordinance, or tribal law pursuant to MCR 2.615, in violation of MCR 9.104(5).
In accordance with the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that respondent be reprimanded and subject to conditions relevant to the established misconduct. Costs were assessed in the amount of $791.62.
