NOTICE OF PROBATION (By Consent)
Case No. 93-244-GA James Dirk VanOosten, P-29232, West Branch, Rose City and Grand Rapids, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Bay County Hearing Panel.
1) Probation - two (2) years; 2) Effective February 22, 1994. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission.
Respondent pled no contest to allegations that he illegally purchased the controlled prescription drug Valium, and operated a vehicle while visibly impaired due to his consumption of alcohol.
Respondent's conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCL 257.625; MCL 333.7403(a); MCR 9.104(1)-(5); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 8.4(a)-(c).
Costs were assessed in the amount of $41.67.
