1) Revocation; 2) Effective March 2, 1994. On March 2, 1994, respondent was convicted in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, by jury verdict, of one count of causing the submission of a false, fictitious, or fraudulent claim with the United States, in violation of 18 USC 287. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended effective March 2, 1994, the date of the felony conviction.
Upon the filing of the judgment of conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. On February 10, 1995, the panel ordered the revocation of respondent's license to practice law effective March 2, 1994, the effective date of the automatic interim suspension.
The respondent filed a petition for review. On June 9, 1995, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order dismissing respondent's petition for review for his failure to file the required brief in support of that petition.
Costs were assessed in the amount of $195.10.
