NOTICE OF REPRIMAND Case Nos. 91-256-GA; 92-1-FA Frederick L. McDonald, P-17366, Ann Arbor, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board reducing a hearing panel order of suspension for 30 days.

1) Reprimand; 2) Effective December 8, 1993. Washtenaw County Hearing Panel #1 found that respondent failed to answer a request for investigation and failed to timely answer a formal complaint in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4)and(7); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 8.1(b) and 8.4(a)and(c).

On August 25, 1992, the panel entered an order suspending respondent's license to practice law in Michigan for 40 days. Respondent filed a petition for review seeking a reduction in discipline. On December 21, 1992, the Attorney Discipline Board remanded the matter to the panel to reconsider the discipline.

On February 26, 1993, the panel entered its order (after remand) suspending respondent's license for 30 days. Respondent filed a petition for review, again seeking reduction in discipline.

On November 16, 1993, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order reducing discipline to a reprimand, holding "[i]n this case, a reprimand is a sufficient penalty to achieve the goals of these disciplinary proceedings."

Costs were assessed in the amount of $1021.56.
