NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case Nos. 93-10-GA; 93-29-FA Harry Dumont, P13011, Franklin, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #67.
1) Suspension - one year; 2) Effective June 18, 1993. Respondent failed to answer the formal complaints and failed to appear at the hearing held in Pontiac on April 13, 1993. Respondent's defaults were entered, and the panel determined that the default established the allegations of the formal complaints.
Respondent was retained by a company to represent the company's interests in various patent matter, but failed to remain in contact with his clients and failed to provide them with an address and phone number where they could reach him; failed to return information and/or documentation that belonged to his client; and, failed to answer the request for investigation.
Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104 (1-4,7); MCR 9.103(C); MCR 9.113(A); MCR 9.113(B)(2); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(c); 1.3; 1.3; 8.1(b); 8.4(a,c).
Costs were assessed in the amount of $144.61.
