NOTICE OF SUSPENSION Case No. 93-136-JC Andrew J. Kozyra, P-38309, Warren, Michigan, by the Attorney Discipline Board affirming a hearing panel order of suspension and modifying the order's effective date.

1) Suspension - one (1) year; 2) Effective June 16, 1993. On April 15, 1993, respondent was convicted in Recorder's Court for the City of Detroit, by jury verdict, of the felony of Perjury, in violation of MCL 750.423. In accordance with MCR 9.120(B)(1), respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was automatically suspended effective April 15, 1993, the date of the felony conviction.

Upon the filing of the judgment of conviction, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. On February 8, 1994, Tri-County Hearing Panel #107 entered an order suspending respondent's license to practice law for one year effective April 15, 1993, the date of the automatic interim suspension. Costs were assessed in the amount of $343.22.

The Grievance Administrator filed a petition for review. On June 1, 1994, the Attorney Discipline Board entered an order affirming the one-year suspension and modifying the effective date to June 16, 1993. The Grievance Administrator filed an application for leave to appeal, which was denied by the Michigan Supreme Court in an order entered January 31, 1995.
