1) Suspension - 119 days; 2) Effective August 17, 1993. Respondent pleaded guilty in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, to one count of Failure to File Tax Return, a misdemeanor, in violation of 26 USC 7203. He was sentenced on March 16, 1993, after which the Grievance Administrator filed a Notice of Filing of Judgment of Conviction.
The Attorney Discipline Board entered an order directing the respondent to show cause why a final order of discipline should not be entered. On July 26, 1993, Attorney Discipline Board Midland County Hearing Panel #2 entered an order suspending respondent's license to practice law in Michigan for a period of 119 days, effective August 17, 1993.
Costs were assessed in the amount of $180.04. NOTE: Respondent's license to practice law in Michigan was also suspended (pending appeal) for a period of 36 months in Case No. 92-171-GA, effective June 5, 1993.
