NOTICE OF REPRIMAND (By Consent)
Case No. 92-242-GA Donald Z. Ricard, P-19398, St. Clair Shores, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #108.
1) Reprimand; 2) Effective May 25, 1993. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115(F)(5), which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission.
Respondent was retained to represent the husband in a divorce action and custody dispute. Respondent pled no contest to the allegations of stipulating to the terms of the Petition to Change Domicile of the minor child contrary to his client's wishes, and failing to advise his client that a consent judgment of divorce had been entered.
Respondent's conduct was alleged to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4) ; and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 3.2; 4.2; and 8.4(a-c). Costs were assessed in the amount of $63.46.
