NOTICE OF RECIPROCAL REVOCATION Case No. 92-294-RD Jerome John Adams, P-28551, Evergreen Park, Illinois, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #11.

1) Revocation; 2) Effective April 1, 1993. Respondent was disbarred in Illinois effective September 29, 1992. The Illinois Supreme Court found that respondent engaged in the unauthorized practice of law; conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation; and conduct which is prejudicial to the administrator of justice, and brings the courts and the legal profession into disrepute.

In accordance with MCR 9.104, proof of an adjudication of misconduct in a disciplinary proceeding by another state is conclusive proof of misconduct in a disciplinary proceeding in Michigan. The only issues to be addressed in the Michigan proceedings are whether the respondent was afforded due process of law in the course of the original proceedings and whether imposition of identical discipline in Michigan would be inappropriate.

The panel unanimously concluded that respondent was afforded due process of law in the course of the original proceedings, and that imposition of identical discipline in Michigan would not be clearly inappropriate, and ordered that respondent's license to practice law in Michigan be revoked. Costs were assessed in the amount of $77.52.

NOTE: Respondent's license to practice law in Michigan has been continuously suspended since July 28, 1988.

You are being directed to the most recent version of the statute which may not be the version considered at the time of the judgment.
