NOTICE OF SUSPENSION (By Consent)

Case No. 92-247-GA John W. Steckling, P-20930, Clarkston, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #67.

1) Suspension - 60 days; 2) Effective February 13, 1993. The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for consent order of discipline pursuant to MCR 9.115 (F)(5), which was approved by the hearing panel and the Attorney Grievance Commission. Respondent admitted the allegations contained in the formal complaint.

Respondent submitted falsified laboratory analyses concerning an underground injection well located on the premises of a laundromat, owned and operated by the partnership of which respondent was a general partner, to the United States Environmental Protection Agency on ten occasions from 1987 through 1989.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104 (1-5); the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 8.4(a-c); Canon 1 of the then-applicable Code of Professional Responsibility, DR 1- 102(A)(1-6); and 42 USC 300h-2(b). Costs were assessed in the amount of $103.19.
