1) Reprimand; 2) Effective February 24, 1993. Respondent was retained to institute divorce proceedings and to obtain a restraining order. The hearing panel found that respondent failed to properly serve the restraining order, rendering it unenforceable; and, after his services were terminated, refused, upon demand, to release his client's file to her until the balance of her account was paid in full.
Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1)-(4); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(b)and(c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4(a); 1.16(d); 3.2; 8.4(a)and(c). Costs were assessed in the amount of $631.62.
