NOTICE OF REPRIMAND Case No. 91-208-GA Cyril C. Hall, P-29121, Pontiac, Michigan, by Attorney Discipline Board Tri-County Hearing Panel #59.

1) Reprimand; 2) Effective January 12, 1993. The hearing panel found that the allegations of professional misconduct contained in Counts One, Two and Four of the Formal Complaint were established by a preponderance of the evidence. Count Three was dismissed.

Respondent was retained to act as defense counsel in a criminal matter, but failed to appear at his client's sentencing, after having failed to appear for a prior scheduled date for sentencing; failed to adequately communicate with his client for approximately four months; and failed to disclose in his answer to the request for investigation that he had failed to appear for the sentencing. Respondent also failed to fully cooperate with the Attorney Grievance Commission concerning an unrelated request for investigation.

Respondent's conduct was found to be in violation of MCR 9.104(1-4,7); MCR 9.113(A); and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct, 1.1(b,c); 1.2(a); 1.3; 1.4; 8.1(b); 8.4(a,c). Costs were assessed the amount of $1218.96.
